Why is it a problem for it to be more of a fantasy than sci fi?
It pulls more from mythology and fairy tales and is about space wizards, the blasters and space ships are set dressing.
Like I do recognize that there’s a lot of overlap and a lot of these labels are kind of meaningless, but Star Wars is a fantasy pretending to be science fiction the same way, idk, Dragonriders of Pern is science fiction pretending to be fantasy.
I edited it in too late but I can agree to disagree, I just think that framing Star Wars as a fantasy setting makes a lot of the stuff in it make more sense.
